Measuring emissions, elevating best practices, lifting up the world. That’s the power of Westchester.

A national commission named K12 Climate Action led by a former Secretary of Education called on public schools to develop a response to climate change centered around four core values: Mitigate, Educate, Adapt, and Advance Equity. This group gave a strong endorsement of our work and presented at our conference. We mobilized global and local stakeholders to address these four values, starting in our local Westchester Community.

MITIGATE

Helping schools measure, reduce, and offset their carbon footprint using United Nations resources

EDUCATE

Share and learn best practices working with educators and environmental clubs across Westchester

ADAPT

Opportunities for schools to build resilience by working with their local sustainability committees

ADVANCE EQUITY

Supporting disadvantaged communities both in the US and overseas to develop a robust response to climate change
