Reduce your footprint as much as you can
Offset the rest with UN’s Certified Emission Reductions (CERs)
Step 1: Measure Your Carbon Footprint
Sign the UNFCCC’s Pledge – Your school’s name will then appear on their website!
Calculate your Carbon Footprint
Gather the paperwork you need: Heating & Electricity Bills
Step 2: Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
Identify one adult and at least one student who will be in charge of the Dual Pledge

Step 3: Offset your Carbon Footprint
Fill out the Carbon Footprint Calculator
Discover your Total Emissions
Find a project to fund in order to offset a portion of your carbon emissions
Step 3: Fund a Project (Part 2)
Determine a fundraising plan to raise the money needed to offset
Apply for a One World Offset Matching Grant!
Once you have completed the process, the UNFCCC will send you a certificate confirming your Carbon Neutral Status.
They will also put your school’s logo on their website alongside other global carbon-neutral players.
